A Private Room for Public Impact
City Power Night is a curated gathering of civic, economic, and community leaders convened by The Public Lyceum. It is not a public event. It is not a promotional program. It is a structured environment where decisions are discussed, relationships are built, and public-interest solutions are explored among those with the capacity to act.
City Power Night exists because meaningful civic progress requires bringing together the people and institutions with the capacity to effect change. The challenges facing communities—housing instability, economic mobility, infrastructure decay, social fragmentation—do not resolve through public commentary alone. They require private deliberation among those positioned to act.
The Public Lyceum convenes these gatherings not as an event producer, but as a civic institution committed to public-interest education and institutional collaboration. City Power Night is an extension of that mission—a structured environment for dialogue, not spectacle.
City Power Night is a private deliberative environment designed for serious conversation among civic leaders, institutional representatives, and community stakeholders committed to public-interest outcomes.
City Power Night is organized into five distinct layers, each serving a specific function in the deliberative environment. Access to each layer is determined by The Public Lyceum in accordance with the gathering's purpose.
City officials, elected representatives, municipal leaders, and policy decision-makers. This layer provides the governmental perspective and ensures that private deliberations connect to public accountability.
Real estate developers, institutional investors, financial executives, and corporate leadership. This layer represents the capital capacity to implement solutions discussed in the Policy Layer.
Media professionals, journalists, thought leaders, and recognized public figures whose presence ensures that ideas discussed have pathways to public discourse.
Select community representatives, cultural leaders, and recognized voices whose participation adds authentic community perspective to private deliberations.
Approved invitees who have been vetted and confirmed by The Public Lyceum. All attendees at any City Power Night gathering are members of the Access Layer, which serves as the overall gatekeeping function for the event.
